Home > 2017 LILY PAYNE
Lily Payne needs very little introduction. At only 13 years of age she has already made her mark on the dressage scene both Nationally and Internationally.

Clearly following in Mum, Sarah Payne's footsteps, sitting on a pony even before she could walk has started quite a passion for this talented young lady.

 August 2017
The trip to The Europeans in Roosendaal, Holland was going extremely well until the working in on Day 1 of competition for The Children On Horses competitors when Cara sadly knocked herself and slightly twisted her shoe, forcing Lily to withdraw from the competition.

July 2017

There is immense excitement at Sheepgate Equestrian as Lily is selected to be the first British rider to represent the 'Children on Horses' at The European Championships. Riding Ann Savage's stunning mare Beckhouse Cancara, this selection comes after a great weekend at the Pre-Europeans camp for short listed riders.

June 2017

Lily was delighted to be selected to compete for Great Britain in Hagen at the Future Champions show in the Children on Horses classes and proved they were a force to be reckoned with.

Three days of competitions saw their first performance top 70% to secure 6th place with only German riders ahead of her. Day 2 gave her an impressive 5th place and the finale of the Individual test on day 3 saw Lily and Ann Savage's 'Beckhouse Cancara top 72% and move up to an outstanding 4th place.

April 2017

After an amazing Winter Regionals campaign in February 2017 Team Sheepgate wouldn't have believed it could get any better for the amazing partnership of Lily and Ann Savage's 'Beckhouse Cancara' but clearly that was just the warm up! Three championships and three top three placings, what more could you want?! Winning the Petplan Elementary Bronze First Round and finishing 2nd in the Final. 2nd in the Elementary Silver Freestyle to Music Championship and Winning the Bailey's Horse Feeds Novice Gold Freestyle to Music Championship. Huge thanks go to Julie Geraghty of Equivisions for the great music chosen by Lily.

February 2017

A Birthday to remember without a doubt!
Riding in her first ever Novice Gold Regional Championship on her 13th Birthday and wow what a test Lily and Cara performed to win the Regional Championship and secure their ticket to the Winter Nationals.
As if that wasn't enough on the next day they did it again to win the Elementary Silver Regional Championship and secure their second ticket to the Winters.
