CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES

  • Classes  FEI 2A, 2B, FEI 3A, 3B, FEI 4A, 4B, FEI 5A 5B 5, 8, 
  • 13 Preliminary Semi Final: 17 – Preliminary Final,  
  • 14 Elementary Semi Final: 19 –Elementary Final,  
  • 18 Novice Semi Final: 23 Novice Final

THE PRELIMINARY CHAMPIONSHIP – kindly sponsored by CATAGO

Attain 2 Preliminary score sheets of 65% or above since 1st December 2018 and before the close of entries, at a BD competition. 
Riders can take part until the end of the year of their 25th Birthday, Horses and riders should be eligible for Bronze or Silver at Prelim level.

Your qualification entitles you to enter the THE UNDER 25'S PRELIMINARY SEMI FINAL - CLASS 13 The top 15 riders from each semi-final will qualify for the final CLASS 17   Qualified combinations will be notified automatically by British Dressage you do not need to send your sheets in to British Dressage or to Sheepgate. British Dressage will notify Sheepgate  of the qualified combinations.

THE NOVICE CHAMPIONSHIP – Kindly sponsored by UVEX
Attain 2 Novice score sheets of 66% or above since 1st December 2018 and before the close of entries at a BD competition.
Riders can take part until the end of the year of their 25th Birthday and must be members of BD. Horses and Riders can be eligible for Bronze, Silver or Gold at Novice Level.
Your qualification entitles you to enter THE UNDER 25'S SEMI FINAL - CLASS 18.  The top 15 riders from each semi-final will qualify for the final
 CLASS 23
Qualified combinations will be notified automatically by British Dressage you do not need to send your sheets in to British Dressage or to Sheepgate. British Dressage will notify Sheepgate  of the qualified combinations.

THE ELEMENTARY CHAMPIONSHIP - Kindly Sponsored by DODSON & HORRELL

Attain 2 Elementary score sheets of 66% or above since 1st December 2018 and before the close of entries at a BD competition.
Riders can take part until the end of the year of their 25th Birthday and must be members of BD. Horses and Riders can be eligible for Bronze, Silver or Gold at Elementary Level.
Your qualification entitles you to enter THE UNDER 25'S ELEMENTARY SEMI FINAL - CLASS 14.  The top 15 riders from each semi-final will qualify for the final  CLASS 19
Qualified combinations will be notified automatically by British Dressage you do not need to send your sheets in to British Dressage or to Sheepgate. British Dressage will notify Sheepgate  of the qualified combinations.

THE MEDIUM CHAMPIONSHIP – Kindly sponsored by WOLDS EXCLUSIVE BLING

Attain 2 Medium score sheets of 64% or above since 1st December 2018 and before the close of entries at a BD competition. 

Riders can take part until the end of the year of their 25th Birthday and must be members of BD. Horses and Riders can be eligible for Bronze, Silver or Gold at Medium Level.
Your qualification entitles you to enter the THE WOLDS EXCLUSIVE BLING UNDER 25'S MEDIUM FINAL - CLASS 8
Qualified combinations will be notified automatically by British Dressage you do not need to send your sheets in to British Dressage or to Sheepgate. British Dressage will notify Sheepgate  of the qualified combinations.

THE ADVANCED MEDIUM CHAMPIONSHIP – Kindly sponsored by KBIS INSURANCE LTD

Attain 1 Advanced Medium score sheets of 63% or above since 1st December 2018 and before the close of entries at a BD competition.
Horses / ponies must be registered. Riders can take part until the end of the year of their 25th Birthday and must be members of BD. Horses and Riders can be eligible for Bronze, Silver or Gold at Advanced Medium Level.
Your qualification entitles you to enter the THE KBIS UNDER 25'S ADVANCED MEDIUM FINAL - CLASS 5.
Qualified combinations will be notified automatically by British Dressage you do not need to send your sheets in to British Dressage or to Sheepgate. British Dressage will notify Sheepgate  of the qualified combinations.

THE PONY CHAMPIONSHIP – Kindly sponsored by the BRITISH DRESSAGE SUPPORTERS CLUB

Open to riders from the beginning of the year of their 12th Birthday until the end of the year of their 16th Birthday, riding ponies of 148cms or under and 6 years old or over.
No qualification necessary, combinations should enter Class FEI 2A & 2B, section A and B to be entitled to a final placing in the overall Championship

THE JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP – Kindly sponsored by DENGIE

Open to riders from the beginning of the year of their 14th Birthday until the end of the year of their 18th Birthday, riding horses or ponies 6 years old or over.
No qualification necessary, combinations should enter Class FEI 3A &3B, section A and B to be entitled to a final placing in the overall Championship

THE YOUNG RIDER CHAMPIONSHIP – Kindly sponsored by TOP SPEC

Open to riders from the beginning of the year of their 16th Birthday until the end of the year of their 25th Birthday, riding horses over 148cms and at least 6 years old.
No qualification necessary, combinations should enter Class 4A & 4B, section A and B to be entitled to a final placing in the overall Championship

THE CHILDREN ON HORSES  - Kindly Sponsored by SHEEPGATE 

Open to riders from the beginning of the calendar year of their 12th birthday to the end of the calendar year of their 14th birthday, riding horses, horses must be 6yr or over

Once I have my sheets a t the relevant %’s what do I do next?

Qualified combinations will be notified automatically by British Dressage you do not need to send your sheets in to British Dressage or to Sheepgate. British DressAge will notify Sheepgate of the qualified combinations.

Are there any rider restrictions on Championships?

Classes 3a, 3b, 4a, 4b, 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b  are unaffiliated and are open to anyone, except those listed in the notes attached to these classes. 

All FEI classes will be run under BD Rules and not FEI Rules.

Are there are restrictions for Horses/ ponies in these classes

The horse/ pony may be of any height and must be graded no higher than the level they are entered to compete at on the date of close of entries. . All horses must be registered with BD with the exception of Classes  3a, 3b, 4s, 4b, 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b
